Scotiabank CHIN Picnic Showcases Caribbean Swing

TORONTO, Ontario – The world’s largest, free, multi-culture picnic is fast approaching, and the event’s organizer is inviting the public to join the celebration on June 29, June 30 and July 1 at Exhibition Place.

Showcasing culture from Portugal, Italy, China, South Asia, Philippines, South America, Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad, this year, the Scotiabank CHIN Picnic is celebrating its 47th birthday with an array of cultural acts, food and entertainment.

On July 1, from 3pm – 7pm, the sights and sounds of the Caribbean will be highlighted, with performances by Ammoye, Dhalia, Ibadan, Dance Caribe, Destiny, D’Enforcas, DJ Ron Nelson and the Majestic Warriors, who will close the show with a tribute to Bob Marley. This segment of the Picnic is being presented by Caribbean Swing, and this year, it will be held in a new location, on the International Stage in the Better Living Centre.
