Man Collapses And Dies While Playing Football In Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad CMC – An autopsy will be performed later Monday on the body of a 59 year-old game warden, who collapsed and died while playing a football game at Pointe-a-Pierre, south of here, over the weekend.

Police confirmed that Andrew George was participating in an over 45 football match at the Trinidad Cement Ltd grounds, south of here on Saturday evening, when the incident occured.

They said paramedics attempted to revive him but were unsuccessful and that his body had been removed to the mortuary of the San Fernando General Hospital where an autopsy will take place later on Monday.
