Shark Attacks Canadian Visitor In The Bahamas

NASSAU, Bahamas CMC – Police said a 77-year-old unidentified Canadian national has been airlifted to Fort Lauderdale in the United States after he was attacked by a shark on Sunday.

They said that the man was on board a fishing boat off Cape Eleuthera with friends when the incident occurred.

They said he received injuries to his leg and arm and was taken to a local clinic where he was treated initially and then airlifted to Fort Lauderdale.

The police statement said investigations were continuing but gave no other details of the incident.
