The Ashley Madison website hack has made infidelity a hot topic. The large amount of people signed up to the website looking to have an affair, or at the very least interested in the possibility of having one, surprised many.

It turns out that infidelity is more prevalent than we think , and between 30%-60% of all married individuals engage in infidelity at some point during their marriage. The amazing thing is that 56% of men and 34% of women who cheat rate their marriage as happy, so there must be other reasons why people are interested in extramarital affairs.  The fact that many people do not see affairs as morally unacceptable could be an important factor.
