LIAT Confirms Resignation Of CEO

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, Apr. 13, (CMC) – Regional carrier, LIAT, on Wednesday, confirmed that Chief Executive Officer, David Evans, has resigned — officially.

In a statement , LIAT said the Board of Directors accepted Evans’ resignation, today.

The Director of Finance and ICT, Julie Reifer-Jones, has been appointed to act as CEO.

The Board of Directors thanked Evans for his service and wished him success in his future endeavours.

Evans, who joined the airline in 2014, on Monday, tendered his resignation, following what informed sources said was a “stormy board of directors meeting “in Barbados last Thursday.

Evans assumed the chief executive responsibilities from Reifer-Jones, who had been Acting CEO since the resignation of Captain Ian Brunton in September 2013.

The airline is owned by the governments of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
