Couple Abducted And Murdered In Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica, May 19, (CMC) – Jamaica police are investigating the murder of a bus driver and his wife in the western parish of Hanover.

The police report that Balford Gordon, a bus driver, and his wife, Annette Brown Gordon, were at a house in the community of Elgin Town, late Wednesday, when they were abducted by gunmen.

Another man who was with the couple was also abducted.

The three were placed in the bus, owned by Gordon, and taken to the community of Mosquito Cove where they were shot.

Balford and Annette died on the spot, however the other man managed to escape and was taken to hospital by a passerby.

The police report that the gunmen returned to the couple’s home, parked the bus, ransacked the house and stole several items.

The couple’s son, who was at home, was not harmed.
