School Boy Shot And Killed In Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica, September 18, 2018 (CMC) – Police are investigating the death of a 16-year-old student, who was shot and killed at his home, after unidentified gunmen, reportedly kicked open the door, yesterday.

Police have identified the victim as Shamar “JT” Tomlinson, who attended the Manning’s School in Westmoreland, the westernmost parish in Jamaica, located on the south side of the island.

Residents said they heard explosions coming from the vicinity of Tomlinson’s house and called the police. Upon the arrival of the lawmen, Tomlinson was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

So far this year, more than 700 people have been killed here.  Last year, there were 1,600 murders.
