TORONTO, Ontario October 1, 2018 — Minister Clifford Anderson, who had been ill for the past few weeks, passed away, suddenly, on Saturday, September 22, the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) announced in a public statement.
A member of the JCA and its Flag Raising Committee, Minister Anderson, 50, “was a devoted and loving husband and father”, a family statement said.
“Minister Cliff will be greatly missed by all of his extended family, members of Faith Open Door Ministries, Universal Soldiers of Faith Honour Guard Services (USOF) and friends,” added the family, noting that they appreciated “all of your sincere prayers and words of comfort, during this difficult time”.
Pam Reynolds, former JCA Membership Services Chair, observed, on behalf of the organisation’s membership, “The loss of a wonderful and respected friend and colleague, who has contributed so much to our community, over such a long period of time, is a deep and terrible blow, and I would like to share our sincere condolences with everyone, who knew him and worked with him.”
“We also pray for his family that they remain strong and hold close to their hearts all the fond memories of him. He will be greatly missed; with deep sorrow and sympathy from all the JCA family,” she added.

His Viewing will take place on Friday, October 19, from 4pm to 8pm, at the New Haven Funeral Home, 7025 Legion Road, in Mississauga, Ontario. After the viewing, there will be a gathering, for a time of reflection, remembrance and fellowship, at Faith Open Door Ministries, 920 Caledonia Road, Unit 4, in Toronto.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, commencing at 10am, at Faith Open Door Ministries, 920 Caledonia Road, Unit 4, in Toronto, with an additional viewing from 9am to 9:45am.
