BRAMPTON, Ontario October 10, 2018 – Lisa Ridley, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rutty Caribbean Consulting Inc., using her management, business development and consulting skills and experience, from her years in the travel industry, is now counselling and advising individuals on how to navigate the logistics of owning a home in Jamaica — for retirement, vacation or income-producing purposes.
Her consulting company connects potential buyers with trusted realtors, lawyers and mortgage brokers, with established reputations for professionalism and customer satisfaction.
“Buying a home in a foreign country can be extremely challenging, due to a variety of rules, regulations and requirements that can be much different than those in an individual’s country of residence,” said Ridley, an avid traveler and adventure seeker, who has visited more than 26 countries, across 6 continents.
Born in Jamaica, Ridley, who owns two properties in her native land, is well acquainted with the market, and her company understands Jamaica’s immigration laws and resident status requirements and is knowledgeable about the country’s infrastructure.
“Former residents, who have been out of the country for a significant length of time, may not be aware of the safest and most desirable areas, or the cost of comparable properties in any given location,” she noted.
Rutty Caribbean Consulting Inc. carefully assesses client needs to recommend the most convenient, safe and tourist-friendly locations, along with amenities and access to entertainment, the release said, adding that the company “provides essential advisory services, enabling individuals to make informed decisions about their property purchases in the Caribbean”.
A volunteer with the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA), Ridley, who completed studies in Travel and Tourism and in Business Management, is a certified corporate travel expert (CTE) with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA).
After consulting with some of the most well-known companies in the world to manage their corporate travel programs, she founded Rutty Caribbean Consulting Inc. and is now specializing in helping individuals own properties in the Caribbean.
With her consulting firm in flight, Ridley plans to leave a lasting legacy by giving back to her community in Canada and her birth-nation of Jamaica.
