University Of The West Indies And The Caribbean Public Health Agency To Collaborate On Health Training And Research

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts and Nevis, February 27, 2019 — On the margins of the 30th Inter-Sessional Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government, the Chairman and St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister, Dr Timothy Harris, yesterday, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, between the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA).

The MOU will aim at strengthening evidence-informed health services and policy decision-making through training and research.

UWI was represented by Vice Chancellor, Professor Hillary Beckles, and CARPHA by Executive Director, Dr James Hospidales.

CARICOM Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, also witnessed the signing.
