There’s a saying that goes, “A boat in the harbour seems very attractive, but the fisherman will go home empty-handed unless he puts out to sea”. We all have periods in our lives when we feel that just ‘sitting in the boat’ is all we are capable of doing.
Eventually though, we realize that we are the architects of our future, so moving on is not an option, rather, it is an imperative. Consequently, it is important for us to acknowledge that if we are to achieve our goals, there must be a concerted effort to do so.
So, what can you do when those moments of inertia set in and you forget that hard work is needed to succeed? It might be wise to realize that:
> Hard work is the only road to success.
> Commitment and perseverance will overcome inertia.
> Adequate planning is the most essential aspect to working hard.
> Practical timelines ensure getting needed results.
> Hard work is made easier with assistance from others.
> Self care is the most important factor in the attainment of your goals.
> Do not take better care of your car than you take of your body, and
>Stop saying,“ I wish I could” — JUST BEGIN.
