Caribbean Airlines Guyana To New York Flight Diverted To The Bahamas Due To Engine Trouble

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago, November 11, 2019 (CMC) – A Caribbean Airlines (CAL) flight, bound for John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York from Guyana, diverted to Nassau, Bahamas, late Saturday, due to a mechanical issue with one of its engines.

In a statement, CAL said there were 134 passengers and seven crew members on board flight BW 526 .

The plane landed safely at 10.51p.m. (Local time) and was met by airport services.

The airline says the aircraft has been withdrawn from service, and all appropriate inspections and procedures are in progress.
