PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago, March 30, 2020 (CMC) – Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley, said, Saturday, that his eldest brother, whom he did not name, died at the Scarborough General Hospital, on Friday night.
In a brief message, posted on his Facebook page, Rowley, 70, said that his brother “passed peacefully away”, and that he wanted to “thank all those nurses and other health care givers at Scarborough General Hospital for the care and attention, provided to us all, during his period of ailment”.
“I pray, not for the burdens to be made lighter, but for my shoulders to be strengthened to bear them,” he added.
Rowley gave no indication, as to the cause of death of his eldest brother, nor when the funeral would take place.
Under the present regulations, imposed, here, to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), only 10 people are allowed to attend any funeral.
