You might have visions of a garden as far as the eye can see. While you should always dream big, make sure you start small when planting your first garden. You can always expand your garden as time goes on, but if you begin with a massive plot size, you might overwhelm yourself.

Some vegetables take up more room than others. For instance, while carrots grow underground, cucumbers grow above ground.
