Tiger Woods’ And Bubba Watson’s Florida Mansion Up For Sale

Soon after he won the Masters and $1.4 million in 2012, Bubba Watson celebrated by purchasing the infamous Florida home that was the scene of Tiger Wood’s much publicized car accident. The crash that led to his divorce from Elin Nordegren and a crumbling golf career.

Though Watson’s purchase of the home was not publicized, he later told Golf.com in an interview that he liked the security of the gated community for his family and found it to be the best choice out of all the homes they had looked at.

Tiger had purchased the home in 2000 for $2.475 million. At the time, it had eight bedrooms, nine baths and measured in at 6,800 square feet.

In 2012 it appraised at $2.2 million, though it was not disclosed what Watson paid.  In need of updates, the Watsons set about redesigning and expanding the size of the home.  He said that all but five percent of the house underwent a complete redesign before they moved in.

Now for sale, the living space has been increased to 7,940 square feet with seven bedrooms, nine baths, gourmet kitchen, state-of-the-art media/game room and separate guest house, all with views over Lake Isleworth.

Well located for the sports enthusiast, it is only a short walk to the development’s six Har-Tru clay courts, two paddle courts, driving range and clubhouse.

The former Tiger Wood’s Windermere, Florida home, now redesigned and enlarged by Bubba Watson, is priced at $5.6 million.
