Three Men Charged In Connection With Execution-style Killings In Guyana

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, Apr. 7, (CMC) – Three men have been charged, in connection with the recent execution-style killings that took place in the community of Charlestown, on the outskirts of the capital.

When they appeared in court here, today, Velnon Thorne, 30, and Trifton Parris,21, were jointly charged for the April 1 murder of Gladston Taylor.

The police report that Taylor was gunned down, in what is believed, to have been a revenge hit.

Thorne and Parris were remanded to prison until April 29.

In another matter, Dellon Small was charged for the March 29 execution of Guyana Defence Force (GDF) soldier, Kevon Payne. Small was remanded until April 30.

Thorne is the brother of Payne, and investigators believe the soldier’s murder could be connected the death of Taylor.
