US Officers Seize Counterfeit Currency In Colouring Sheets On T&T Flight

MIAMI, Florida CMC – The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency says officers at Miami International Airport have seized US$2,000 in counterfeit US currency arriving in a package of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle colouring sheets from Trinidad and Tobago.

CBP said officers selected the package for examination and discovered that the set of coloring sheets felt unusually heavy.

On further examination, CBP officers discovered currency between two glued coloring sheets.

CBP observed that the bills were of poor quality and closer scrutiny questioned their validity.

The US Secret Service was notified, and determined the bills to be counterfeit.

CBP said, officers seized the counterfeit currency and turned it over to the US Secret Service for further investigation.
