Daughters Arrested After Father Murdered In Guyana

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, Apr. 5, (CMC) – Police have arrested two daughters of 64-year-old Roger Manikam, after his body was found dumped on the Railway Embankment at Coldingen, along the East Coast of Demerara, over the weekend.

Police said that they are now seeking a third person, in connection with the murder, after Manikam’s body was discovered last Sunday.

They said that Manikam’s 13-year-old adopted daughter and his 18-year-old biological daughter remain in custody, while the search continues for the third person, reported to be a Clerk at a Magistrates’ Court here.

Police believe that the man was killed at his home and the body, wrapped in plastic, was transported to the area where he was dumped.
