Jamaican Cop Found Guilty Of Murdering Girlfriend

KINGSTON, Jamaica, Apr. 14, (CMC) – A policeman will be sentenced, later this month, after being found guilty of the 2013 murder of his girlfriend in the eastern parish of Portland.

A seven-member jury, today, found Constable Lincoln McKoy guilty of murdering Jessica King.

The police report that during an argument on August 13, McKoy invited King to lunch, and during an argument, he pulled his gun and shot her when she told him that she wanted to end the relationship.

She died on the spot.

The cop shot himself twice in the head in an apparent suicide attempt, but survived.

McKoy will be sentenced on April 29.
