Foreigners Injured In Shooting Incident In Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC — Two visitors are battling for life in hospital following a shooting incident in the western parish of Hanover early Friday.

The female visitors were among four persons shot by gunmen.

The police report that one of the victims was killed, and doctors have been trying to save the lives of the others.

It’s reported that shortly after 2 a.m. (local time), the four were passengers in a car, when it blocked the path of a white car on a narrow road.

The occupant of the white car alighted and fired shots in their direction.

All four occupants were shot.

The police were summoned and took the injured to hospital, however one of the victims, who has since been identified as Vinton Campbell, 22, died on the way.

The others have been hospitalized in serious condition.
