Keep On Looking Up

By Ettie Rutherford
Contributing Writer

Ettie Rutherford 1Reaching for the sky in today’s world, is an onerous task. There are days, when we really need a jolt to even look upward, because there are so many distractions, detours and negative happenings, not only in our own surroundings, but in the world at large.

Those are the times when I reflect on inspirational stories, quotes and Psalm 23. They help to lift my thoughts, elevate my thinking and help me realize my blessings.

I focus on reading, planning, listening, increasing my knowledge and trying to assist those, who might need some assistance.

If you are striving to soar with your dreams, but are not succeeding, as much as you should, it might be helpful to:
> Ensure that the “pie in the sky”, which you are seeking, is what you need.
> Develop skills and strategies, in preparation for your flight.
> Stop blaming others, and using them as distractions, for your slow ascent.
> Get assistance from past survivors. They will help you to soar.
> Keep looking up, by planning and setting meaningful timelines.

Please continue aiming for the stars. You might not get there, as fast as you desire, but the blueness of the skies will give you hope to keep on soaring.
