Trinidad Teen Charged With Attempting To Have Sex With His Mother

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad CMC – An 18-year-old mechanic has been remanded into custody after he appeared in court on Friday charged with having sex with his younger sister and attempting to have sex with his 44-year-old mother.

Senior Magistrate, Lucina Cardenas-Ragoonanan, denied bail to the teenager when he appeared in the Couva Magistrate Court in Central Trinidad.

The court was told that the youth, had on three dates unknown, between March 2012 and December 2013, committed incest against his 10-year-old sister.

He was also charged that on a date unknown, in August 2013, he committed serious indecency against his mother.

The teenager will re-appear in court on February 21.
