Jamaicans And Hondurans Arrested Following Drug Seizure

KINGSTON, Jamaica, January 31, 2020 (CMC) – Three Jamaicans and four Honduran nationals have been arrested by the police, following the seizure of marijuana and cocaine, in the tourist resort town of Negril, earlier this week.

The Narcotics police, yesterday, reported that, early Tuesday, they intercepted a vessel with seven men aboard – four Hondurans and three Jamaicans — off the coast of Negril, in the western end of the island.

The vessel was searched and the police found 40 pounds of marijuana and one kilogram of cocaine.

The men were subsequently arrested. However their identities have been withheld, pending further investigations.
