Guyana Elections Commission Agrees To Recount Ballots From General Election

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 3, 2020 (CMC) – The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) agreed, today, to a national recount of ballots, cast in the general election, held on March 2, 2020.

This was communicated by the Commission’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Yolanda Ward, who added that the recount will be conducted, in chronological order, from Region 1 to 10.

It was not revealed when the exercise will begin, but, according to Ward, all other details will be subsequently provided.
