JetBlue Prepares To Begin Scheduled Service To Guyana

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 12, 2019 (CMC) – New York-headquartered, low-cost airline, JetBlue Airways Corporation, known commonly as JetBlue, is planning to roll out scheduled services, between New York and Georgetown, Guyana, in the near future.

On Wednesday, staff members were informed of the decision, and were also told that the airline intends to have dedicated aircraft for the New York to Georgetown route.

The service is likely to be launched, at the end of this year or early 2020, between New York and Georgetown, with connections to the airline’s other destinations.

Airline officials are expected to begin filing all the necessary documentation, soon, with the local Civil Aviation Authority, to begin the process for the service.

JetBlue started operations in 1999 and has quickly grown into a well recognised global name in the aviation sector.
