Toronto Caribbean Carnival This Weekend

Chef Selwyn RichardsIt’s Carnival time again, this weekend. After a two-year hiatus, Toronto is once again in jump-up mode.

Human beings crave celebrations of all kinds. The endorphins that are released in the company of families and good friends, paired with great music and exotic food, is a natural high all on its own.

JerkFest is next weekend and, for the rest of the summer, there is bound to be a festival of some kind near you, so grab something and wave.  Living and celebrating life is righteous.

Some of you may be asking: why are we gathering again? Being happy is a tonic for our mind and body. It is the antidote for depression and anxiety. It attracts and keeps friends. It lightens burdens. It leads to serenity and contentment.

To be happy is one of the preservatives of our peace and tranquility. May the rest of your summer be filled with laughter and happiness.

Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 – I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God’s gift to man.

Wishing you God’s richest blessings, I encourage you to pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. May the good Lord keep and prosper you in good health and wealth.

Stay blessed!
